Denise – Scheduling Coordinator
Denise was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for 11 years at Sunrise Dental Lab, which is the largest dental lab in Nevada. Denise and her husband later moved to Hawaii, where they spent the next 6 1/2 years enjoying the food, people, and sunshine. As our Scheduling Coordinator, Denise plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly in our office. She enjoys her job, and the people she works with, and has been here for 1 1/5 years. Denise is a busy mother of 3 boys and 1 girl, and loves to make cards, scrapbook, go four-wheeling to Little Sahara, play softball, camp, and attend sporting events or activities her children are involved in. Future plans include traveling with her husband, and spending as much time as possible with her kids and future grandkids.
Mandy – Financial Coordinator
Mandy was born in American Fork, and graduated from Lehi High School. With an Associate Degree from Stevens Henegar College and over 10 years of experience in medical billing, she has been a great addition to our staff over the last year. As our Financial Coordinator, she specializes in helping our patients to understand and utilize dental benefits, and works as a patients advocate with insurance providers. Mandy and her husband have plans of extensive travel in the future. They currently enjoy attending football, basketball, and soccer games for their son, as well as pre-school activities and beauty pageants with their daughter. Other family recreational activities include camping, fishing, & vacationing together.
Lyndsey – Dental Hygienist
Originally from Lehi, Lyndsey now lives in Genola with her husband. After graduating from Lehi High School, she attended Salt Lake Community College and graduated with an Associates of Science in 2003. After working in various positions in a dental office, she again graduated from Salt Lake Community College as a Dental Hygienist in 2008. Lyndsey keeps up with the latest dental advances through continual education credits, and she has a particular interest in periodontal health. She is bilingual, and is a great asset to our office in communicating with Spanish speaking patients. Her future plans include aspirations to work as a dental supply representative and to teach dental hygiene. Her hobbies and interests include outdoor recreation, horses, travel, photography, and spending time with family & friends.
Claire – Dental Hygienist
Claire grew up in the rural farm town of Bear River City in Northern Utah. She attended Utah State, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, and met and married her husband. Claire has a baby girl at home, and plans to work part-time while she raises her family. Claire loves working as a Hygienist and is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health. Future plans for Claire include continuing college to earn a Master’s Degree, and ultimately teaching Dental Hygiene. Last year, Claire ran the Top of Utah Marathon, and she has hopes to run another one in the near future. Claire’s other hobbies include fly fishing with her husband, cooking, and watching cooking shows.
Melissa – Dental Assistant
Melissa is a native of the Orem area. She was born and raised here, and is a graduate of Timpanogas High School. She attended Dental Assisting School at Careers Unlimited, and graduated in 2007. Having worked for over two years as a Dental Assistant, she thoroughly enjoys her job and the dental industry. She is a very talented assistant and a crucial part of our team here at CrossPointe Dental. Melissa currently lives with her husband and baby boy in Pleasant Grove. She enjoys the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and learning fun new recipes to cook.
Janelle – Dental Assistant
Janelle was born and raised in Utah County, and joined our team in the spring of 2010. Janelle decided to explore dental assisting as a career after observing and speaking with the orthodontic assistants during her own orthodontic treatment. She completed her assistant training and certification at MATC, and after spending some time as an intern for a general dentist, decided that she would enjoy working long term in a dental practice. We used Janelle as a temp in our office during a week in which one of our assistants was on vacation. We were impressed with her enthusiasm and friendly, outgoing chairside manner with patients. When a position later became available in our office, we contacted her to interview for the position. Janelle is considering eventually returning to school to continue her education and pursue a career as a dental hygienist. Outside of the office, Janelle enjoys cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Mari – Dental Assistant
Mari grew up in Southern California, and moved to Utah with her family a few years ago. She attended Provo College, and graduated in the summer of 2008. She has worked as a dental assistant for the last 3 years, and enjoys dentistry as a profession. Mari is currently attending school with plans of becoming a dental hygienist. In between balancing a busy work and school schedule, some of Mari’s favorite hobbies include making crafts, quilting, and spending time with her friends and family.
Pat – Public Relations
Pat joined our team in 2009 to help expand the reach of our practice. An important part of Dr. Swenson’s Mission Statement is a resolve to contribute to the community, and one of Pat’s primary roles in our practice is to implement programs which allow us to do so. In 2009 we introduced our Halloween Candy Buy Back program. Through this collaborative effort with the organization Operation Gratitude, we collect candy and support letters to be sent out in care packages for our military troops serving abroad. We have also recently implemented an education program in which we go into local schools and teach younger students about the importance of good oral and dental health. With a background in sales and business management, Pat is a great resource in extending our philosophy of care beyond the dental chair. Pat is from Spanish Fork, where he currently resides with his wife and 3 children. Favorite pastimes include fishing, hunting, fitness activities, playing guitar, and songwriting.
