Radiographs enable dentists to detect decay, determine bone level, and analyze the health of bone. Radiographs also help dentists examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dr. Swenson utilizes state-of-the-art digital imaging technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information not available with traditional X-Rays.

The other advantage of digital imaging is the ability to store and archive patient images electronically, enabling rapid transfer and sharing of information with appropriate specialists or insurance companies.
